How do I create a Donation Form?

With AFRUS you can create smart forms that are easily integrated into your website, allowing your donors to donate in an easy, simple and secure way from anywhere in the world in their local currency.

Create custom forms to receive donations in minutes, and use them on any web page, without requiring any IT effort. They adapt to any device (Desktop, tablet, mobile).

AFRUS allows you to receive recurring donations , have control of your donors and their contributions, and optimize the monthly collection you receive.


How do I create my donation forms?

To create a new donation form, you will need to follow the instructions below .

1. You must go to the FORMS / DONATION FORMS section, on the left side menu:


2. Upon entering DONATION FORMS, you will see the following screen:


3. To create a new form, you must click on the blue button called NEW DONATION FORM:


4. Then, you will enter the form editor:


5. Take into account that the creation of a form is contemplated in 3 phases:


6. CONTENT

In this first big step, we will configure all the content of the form. Texts, titles, descriptions, terms and conditions, buttons, suggestions for donation amounts.


6.1 The content phase has two steps for its configuration.


  • Step a. Settings:

6.1.1 Here you must select the template you want to use, the options will be displayed as follows:


Next, we explain the function of each one and an example of what it looks like:

Pop Up Template

The Pop Up template will look like a button that when clicked will display the form.

Example:

Embed template

Embedded Template 1 will be displayed fully printed in the desired area.
This template will show the donation amounts on the first sheet, and the personal data fields on the second sheet.

An example:

Embed 2 Template

Embedded Template 2 will be displayed fully printed in the desired area.
This template will show on the first sheet, The personnel data fields and on the second sheet, The amounts of donations.

Product Embed Template

This form works for product sales.
It can be used as a raffle sale, event tickets, or individual product sales.

Hybrid mode

To activate the hybrid mode in your form you must follow this step by step:

6.1.2 After selecting the template, you must list the campaign (s) that belong to the form. You just have to click on the corresponding check:


  • Step b. Donations:

6.2 Once you configure step a, you must configure the content of the donations.

In this step, the frequency of donations, payment methods and payment gateway are configured.



6.2.1 Select periodicities: In this step, you will activate the frequency of donations in your form, that is, if in this form you want to receive one-time donations and / or recurring donations, you can activate both options or only one of them:


6.2.2 Then you must configure the default frequency, that is, the one that will be automatically active in the form:


6.2.3 Next, you must configure the payment gateway that will process the transactions of this form, if you have more than one gateway configured you can select the ones you want to activate, just click on the box in front of each gateway:


6.2.4 Then, you must configure the activation of the donation amounts and their characteristics, click on the box in front of the field:


Here is the explanation of each option:

Suggested quantities are the amounts that you can configure as donation amount options
Amount field It is a field that is activated for the donor to donate amounts different from the amounts of suggestions
Request phrases They are phrases that accompany the donation suggestion, this helps support the donation intention.


6.3 The next step is to configure the texts of the form , for this you will enter the ADD MORE COUNTRIES button:

Texts as t ítulos, descriptions, names of buttons, suggestion amounts of amounts of Donació n, must be configured from the ADD MORE COUNTRIES button.

Because each country has its corresponding language and currency, this is why you must customize each country, currency and language that you want to have in your form.

Following the steps below.


6.3.1 By clicking, you will choose the country you want to activate in your form:


6.3.2 A panel will be displayed to configure the texts depending on the selected language. This configuration consists of 3 steps:


Step 1: Language and currency

In this step you must select the country, then the language and the currency *.

* In certain cases the currency is configured automatically thanks to the payment gateway configured in the AFRUS account. In the same way, it will show, for international countries, the corresponding currency or in other cases it will show the USD as international currency.

After configuring these 3 items, click Next:


Step 2: Gifts

Donations are called gifts. In other words, at this point you must define the suggested donation amounts according to the currency you have configured in Step 1.

  1. You configure the quantities in the first row called QUANTITY 1, 2, 3 and 4.   If you activated 2 periodicities (unique and monthly), you must configure the amounts for each of them.
  2. To configure the phrases that will accompany each donation suggestion, you must do it in the space called SE DARÁ POR.
  3. You can configure a default quantity, it will be selected automatically in the forms. Just click on the box in front of each line .
  4. You can also configure the minimum amount to receive in your donation form.



Step 3. Texts

In this last step, you will configure the texts you want for your form, such as:

  1. Qualification
  2. Description
  3. Button names
  4. Name of the terms and conditions
  5. Footer
  6. Unique frequency name
  7. Name frequency Monthly




You are done with your configuration, you will have to do the same 3 steps with each country.

Now you must continue with the STYLES Step.


7. STYLES

In this second big step, you will configure the styles of the form.

Text colors, text sizes, decorations, line spacing, button colors, and form colors.


7.1 We will start with the STYLE of the form, in this segment you can select the style of the form boxes, there are 4 different options:



Square
Square Rounded
Rounded
Line


7.2 Then you will start to edit the styles of the title, description, Footers, these 3 items are edited in the same way, because its publisher is made in the same way:

  • This video will show you how to select the options and how they are displayed in the form:

Remember that this editor is the same for Description and footer.


7.3 Finally, you will edit the colors of the form, we will show you with the following video how you configure each item:

Once you finish with this Step, you will continue with the last step, ADVANCED.


8. ADVANCED

In this last step, you must perform the advanced configuration of the following items:

  • Default form fields (Created by AFRUS)
  • Custom form fields (Created by the organization)
  • Terms and conditions setup
  • Thank you page
  • Analytics


8.1 Configuration of default fields of the forms, AFRUS will have automatically selected 3 fields (Name, Surname, Email) , if you want to add more fields to your form with the following video you will learn how to do it:

In the configuration of the fields you will see that there are two columns of tables, in the video we show you their function:

  • Clicking on the first column will activate the field on the form.
  • Clicking on the second column will activate the field as a required field.


8.2 Configuration of custom fields * of the forms. These fields will be created by the organization and will be listed in this space. You can select the ones you want.

* To create a custom field you must follow the following -> manual.

In the configuration of the custom fields you will see that there are two columns of tables, in the video we show you their function:

  • Clicking on the first column will activate the field on the form.
  • Clicking on the second column will activate the field as a required field.



8.3 Terms and conditions. In this space we will activate the check boxes of the terms and conditions that you want to activate in your form.

AFRUS allows you to activate 2 (two) Check box, so that you can use these links with the information that is necessary, such as Data privacy policy, Terms and conditions, Data processing, and those that the organization considers.

  • To activate them you just have to click on the check box called TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
  • If you want to leave them active by default, click on the checkbox called ACTIVE.
  • To configure the URL of or page where they are hosted, you just have to paste the URL in the field that indicates it.

8.4 Thank You Page. In this part you will configure the thank you page of your form, which corresponds to the campaign of this form.

  • Remember that the thank you page is configured in the campaign. To configure the thank you page of the campaign you can see the manual.
  • Or you can also create one and paste the URL of the thank you page.
  • You can only leave one option active.

8.5 Analytics. This configuration is very important for you to obtain the traffic tracking of your form.

  • You can choose the platform where you want to receive your data, You can select between Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager.
  • You just have to add the tracking code of your account.
  • You can add the Facebook Pixel
  • you can add the code for HotJar.

9. You are very close to having your form ready. Now we will show you the last steps so that you have your form completed and ready to use:

You must Activate your form, then save it and finally extract the insertion code of the form, which will be you must paste in the code of your page so that it is visible and you can start receiving donations!
