Everything you need to configure before starting with your first campaign

This is your quick start guide on afrus.app

We help you configure your basic elements to start receiving donations



Before launching your first campaign make sure you have everything connected

  • Payment gateway configured in afrus

This step is always configured in the delivery of your afrus.app account, it is important to be able to process your donations and recurrences. If you want to know the list of payment gateways with which afrus.app works, consult here. See Article

  • Your tools connected to afrus

If you use other tools or platforms besides afrus.app, which will complement your fundraising exercise, they must be previously integrated with afrus. So, when you start with your first campaign, your data and donations will reach the intended platforms.

  • Analytics pre-configuration

You can connect your analytics, GTM and/or facebook platforms in order to monitor your tracking and fundraising metrics.

It's time to start!

Follow the steps in this checklist to set up your first campaign in afrus, with the elements that cannot be missing in your fundraising process with afrus:


1. Create your campaign in afrus

Before creating your form you must create your campaign in afrus, this will be the parent campaign that will host your form(s), whether for leads and/or donation.

2. Create your thank you page

Always activate the thank you page, this option that afrus offers you will appear seconds after the conversion in the afrus form, always thank your benefactors for their contribution.

3. Create your custom fields

Create custom fields, before creating your form, to obtain additional data or information from your leads and/or donors. If you need to obtain additional data or information to your personal data you must create these fields

4. Create your form (donation, lead, hybrid)

Create donation forms to receive unique or recurring contributions, create lead forms to receive only data from your prospects or volunteers, also create hybrid or Magic button forms.

5. Create your Autoresponders

Keep in touch with your donors or leads, we recommend activating the automatic responses for your unique successful and failed donations, also for your new subscriptions and registered and abandoned leads.

6. Create and send donation certificates.

Create, design and send donation certificates to your donors and partners, for each contribution they make to your organization, with the corresponding data of the donor, campaign and value of the contribution.

7. Send newsletter to your database.

Send communications, keep your database informed with your events, progress and testimonials. Design templates from scratch, use html or use predefined templates with the afrus Newsletter module.

8. Configure and activate communication flows to your leads and donors.

Activate your Donor Journey, Lead Nurturing, support journey with the afrus sequence module. Configure your communication flows with different triggers and program actions according to the interaction of your leads and/or donors.

9. Turn on email notifications

Stay informed via email every time a new lead, single donor or recurring donor enters. By activating these notifications, afrus will notify you when a new lead registers in one of your forms or when a single or recurring donor makes the contribution through your donation forms.
